1 Tim. 2:1-2, 8
1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and]
giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we
may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. . . . .8 I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath
and doubting; Rom. 12:12
12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; Eph. 6:18
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to
this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints-- 1 Pet. 4:7
7 But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your
prayers.
